Bala Cynwyd Resident Earns Academic Honor at Muhlenberg
Allentown, Pa. – Junior LAUREN ZAKHEIM (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) of the Muhlenberg College women’s cross country team was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom and on the course.
To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student must be a sophomore or higher in class standing; a starter or key reserve on her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.
A psychology major, Zakheim finished 75th at the CC Championships to help the Mules match the best finish in program history. They came in fourth, behind three teams ranked in the top 20 in Division III, for the second year in a row.
Zakheim, in her first season with the team, ran a season-best 25:11 at the Leopard Invitational. She also came in 11th at the Cedar Crest Falcon Classic, helping Muhlenberg win the team title.
