Olympic Medalist, Wynnewood Intersection Talks, More This Week

Five things to know the week of Feb. 25-March 3 for those who live or work in Bala Cynwyd, Narberth, Penn Valley or Belmont Hills.

 

1. Five-time Olympic medalist in speed skating Chad Hedrick will be at Liberty Mutual's Bala Cynwyd branch (15 Kings Grant Drive, Bala Cynwyd) from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Monday. Hedrick is in town promoting the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

2. The Narberth Council Highway Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at Narberth Borough Hall to discuss options and solutions regarding the tunnel at North Wynnewood and East Wynnewood.

3. There is no Lower Merion Board of Commissioners meeting this Wednesday. The next scheduled meeting of the board is Wednesday, March 13.

4. A fundraiser for the family of late Lower Merion police officer Sean Quinn will be held Friday, March 1 at the Palombaro Club in Ardmore. Proceeds will help offset Quinn's funeral costs. Get the details here.
