5 Things to Know This Week
A heads up for those who live or work in Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley.
- Lower Merion High School on Monday morning will host TEDxLMSD, which will feature a number of activism discussions. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the black box theater. Among the speakers is Harriton student Abri Bernstein, who leads a group called "Gems NOT Genocide."
- Narberth will host another community meeting on rezoning at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the borough building. Before the meeting at 7 p.m., the Harriton High School debate team will including borough rezoning among the issues it discusses at the borough Democratic Club's meeting.
- Lower Merion High School students graduate on Wednesday, Harriton High School students on Thursday. Both commencement services will be held at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph's University. Check back afterwards for Patch coverage.
- Belmont Hills Civic Association's monthly meeting is at 7:30 p.m. Monday at 50 Ashland Ave.
- The "4th Annual Run for Our Schools" starts at 9 a.m. Sunday at Harriton. Proceeds benefit the Education Foundation of Lower Merion. Check out photos from last year's Run for Our Schools.
