5 Things to Know This Week: Aug. 6-12

A heads up for those who live or work in Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley.

 
  1. Narberth is holding a rezoning workshop at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the borough building.
  2. National Night Out, spearheaded by Lower Merion Community Watch as an annual event to raise awareness of crime prevention, will be celebrated from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Suburban Square in Ardmore.
  3. Representatives of Lower Merion School District and the Lower Merion Education Association union have scheduled contract negotiations for Tuesday. (Check back with Patch for updates on the progress of negotiations and any adjustments to their scheduling.)
  4. Daily lane restrictions continue this week on Conshohocken State Road between Woodbine Avenue and Hagys Ford Road, according to PennDOT.
  5. There will be no Lower Merion Board of Commissioners meeting this week. The board has adjourned until September.
