Acme Cash Register Stolen Thursday Afternoon, Police Say

The incident happened at the Bala Cynwyd store about 4 p.m. Nov. 14.

An unidentified man removed a cash register Thursday afternoon from the Bala Cynwyd Acme and left the store unimpeded, Lower Merion police said Monday.

About 4 p.m. Nov. 14, store-surveillance footage shows, a black man in his 30s or 40s wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans pulled cords out from the rear of a register, then carried it out of the store.

The total loss was about $1,700, police said. Acme reported the theft about noon on Friday, Nov. 15.

Anyone with information about the cash-register theft may call the LMPD non-emergency police line: 610-649-1000.
