Robbery and Accidental Injuries: Bala Cynwyd's Police Calls

115 neighborhood incidents were recorded in the week ending Feb. 3.

 

Lower Merion police responded to 115 incidents in the Bala Cynwyd neighborhood in the week ending Sunday, Feb. 3, according to LMPD statistics.

A list of those incidents is attached to this article, sorted by type. Incident descriptions do not necessarily indicate arrests or convictions.

Incidents included:

  • 21 alarm activations
  • 1 marijuana possession citation, at 2 a.m. Jan. 28 on the first block of West City Avenue
  • 1 accidental fire alarm
  • 1 appliance fire, at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3 on the first block of Montgomery Avenue
  • 17 traffic offenses
  • 2 car crashes with injuries: at 10:10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1 on the 100 block of Presidential Boulevard, and at 12 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 at Bryn Mawr Avenue and Manayunk Road
  • 9 car crashes with property damage
  • 1 bank robbery, at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Bala Cynwyd Acme
  • 7 reports of suspicious circumstances
  • 3 retail thefts
  • 2 thefts of vehicles
