With balloons, banners and an enthusiastic anthropomorphic sauce packet, Taco Bell opened Monday on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd.
The restaurant had been under construction since the winter, at the Conshohocken State Road. Adjacent vacant property, zoned for retail, remains available.
The Taco Bell will include Pizza Hut Express items on its menu, and its drive-thru is open 24 hours. The dining area is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Property owners Bala Investors told Patch in January they would employ about 65 people. Their existing Taco Bell across City Avenue, which is shutting down now that the new one is open, had a staff of about 27.

What's your reaction to having a new Taco Bell? Do you concur with the sauce packet?

I would have preferred a restaurant that provides healthier food, a place I could frequent with my kids. Sorry sauce packet.

also a little concerned they decided a fast food restaurant open 24/7. just what i need down the street from where I live. So much for living on the Main Line

the lot looks much improved versus the abandoned gas station. My kids love Taco Bell.

traffic will be a nightmare when people go to enter/exit off Conshy state road. I take the train to work everyday behind building and can not believe they opened and didn't complete a pedestrian walkway next to the PECO building. It's an eye sore and another needless restaurant to cause traffic congestion. A Swiss Farms would have been better

I was some what disappointed when I learned that it was a Taco Bell, I'd perferred a Chik Fila venue instead :)
