Car Collides With Narberth Building, Catches Fire
The 19-year-old driver may have been traveling in excess of 60 mph on Sunday night, police said.
A 19-year-old Bryn Mawr resident will be charged with reckless driving and related offenses after she drove a car into a building on Montgomery Avenue on Sunday night, Narberth Police Department Sgt. Bob Yantorno told Patch. The incident occured around 10:30 p.m. on March 31.
The 19-year-old driver was traveling at well above the posted 35 mph speed limit—possibly in excess of 60 mph, Yantorno said—when she lost control of her vehicle and went careening into the building on the 900 block of Montgomery Avenue in Narberth.
The vehicle caught on fire, but each of the vehicle’s four occupants escaped with no injuries, Yantorno said.

The car, on the other hand, was destroyed in the crash and fire and was towed. The building was also significantly damaged, with a large hole left where the car struck it. (See the photos in the gallery to the right.)
The driver will be charged with reckless driving, and more charges may be coming. An investigation into the accident is ongoing, Yantorno said.
