A regional chain business paying customers cash for their jewelry opened its newest location last week between SJ Cigars and Murray's Deli on Montgomery Avenue in the Merion-Cynwyd business district.

It's the 17th Joe The Jeweler location in the tri-state area, store manager Rafi Pur told Patch. The store pays cash for gold, silver, diamonds, platinum, watches and pretty much any other kind of jewelry, he said.

Joe The Jeweler is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, closed Saturdays and open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays, Pur said. The phone number is 877-563-1255.

The 1,500-square-foot premises last sold in 1998 for $275,000, to Lin-Z Asssociates of Haverford.

Those who voted in the poll and said they'll sell here ... what'll you sell? What metals are getting the best prices these days?
