After 19 years in Bala Village, Chez Raina Salon is changing locations this weekend to 200 Monument Road, a business complex about a mile to the east, owner Raina Chichearo said.

The new salon opens in suite 5 on Wednesday, April 4, using the same phone number: 610-667-7155.

Chichearo said she decided to move mostly because the popularity of adjacent Dana Hot Yoga, and Bala Theatre down the street, has made it hard for customers to find parking on Bala Avenue.

Rent at 244 Bala Ave. has increased, too, Chichearo said. The space will be available for rent once Chez Raina leaves, according to an employee at Pen Del Realty, the landlord.

The salon has a staff of three and is looking to hire two more, said Chichearo, who plans to add spray-tanning as a service at the end of summer. She is offering coupons to promote the move.
