Lower Merion police responded to 223 calls throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley the week ending Sunday, Nov. 18, down from 238 calls the week before, department records show.

The police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) include:

• 6 animal incidents
• 1 fatal car crash, Nov. 17 on Rock Hill Road in Bala Cynwyd
• 3 fires, including two heater/chimney fires in Bala Cynwyd and a structure fire in Penn Valley Nov. 15
• 4 car crashes with injuries
• 13 car crashes with property damage
• 2 citations for public drunkenness
• 7 thefts
