Crime Stats: OD, Assault and Accidents

Police calls decreased week to week.

 

Lower Merion police responded to 169 calls throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley the week ending Sunday, Dec. 2, down from 221 calls the week before, department records show.

A version of the department's most recent report—sorted by the type of incident, and with incidents from the rest of Lower Merion removed—is attached to this article.

The police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) include:

  • 7 animal incidents
  • 3 disorderly conduct citations
  • 1 drug overdose, Nov. 30 on the 1600 block of Hagys Ford Road in Penn Valley
  • 14 car accidents with property damage
  • 1 simple assault, Dec. 1 at 7-Eleven on the 100 block of West City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd
  • 8 thefts
  • 1 attempted vehicle theft
