Driver with 0.26 BAC Crashes on City Avenue, Police Say
The Philadelphia resident hit a concrete barrier under the expressway.
A City Avenue driver more than three times as drunk as the legal limit crashed into a concrete barrier last week, Lower Merion police told news media Monday.
About 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, a 46-year-old Philadelphia man who had been driving south on City Avenue underneath the Schuylkill Expressway was found passed out behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Tahoe, police said.
The vehicle had crashed into a concrete barrier. The driver was uninjured.
The man's blood alcohol content registered 0.26, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence.
