Four Narberth Residents Competing for Borough Council Appointment
They are a pet-supply store owner, an attorney, a government intern and a publisher.
Four Narberth residents applied for the Borough Council vacancy by the deadline of noon Friday, Jan. 27, Borough Manager Bill Martin told Patch. They are:
- Andrea M. Deutsch, owner of Spots - The Place for Paws in Narberth since 2003
- Richard W. Diaz, attorney with Blank Rome LLP in Philadelphia
- Michael J. Gaudini, intern for State Sen. Daylin Leach, whose 17th District includes Narberth
- Ken Jacobs, general partner of Clinical Research Resources publishing in Philadelphia
The candidates will be interviewed Monday night at a special council meeting. It begins at 7:30 p.m. in council chambers at 100 Conway Ave.
The council plans to appoint a new member at its Feb. 8 meeting.

The meeting is open to the public. They cannot comment or question during the interview process. After the interview process, there should be a public comment period, but the candidates would not be asked to respond to those comments.
If someone would like a question asked of the candidates, they should submit it to the Borough prior to Monday night's meeting. It will be asked at the discretion of council.
