This past week has seen gas prices jumping more than two digits in many areas of the country, including the Philadelphia area, according to AAA.
AAA attributes the price jump to a rise in crude oil prices and some refineries closing for good or for maintenance. They call this week-over-week spike the most dramatic in nearly two years.
In the Narberth-Bala Cynwyd Patch, the best price is $3.66, which you can find at Bob Warks on Montgomery Avenue, Cumberland Farms in Wynnewood on Lancaster Avenue or A Plus Mini Market on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, according to Patch’s commute report.
Here are the average gas prices from February 5, according to AAA:
| Area | Average Price | Jump in last week |
| Philadelphia (5-County) | $3.67/gallon | 18 cents |
| South Jersey | $3.52/gallon | 18 cents |
| Delaware | $3.62/gallon | 21 cents |
| National | $3.53/gallon | 17 cents |
