Get Your Girl Scout Cookies from a Belmont Hills Troop

Troop 7066 will be selling at the Penn Valley Acme.

The girls of Belmont Hills-based Troop 7066 have started selling Girl Scout cookies and have several appearances lined up at the Penn Valley Acme through March 3.

Sierra Rix, the troop's "cookie booth mom," reports the schedule is thus:

  • Saturday, Jan. 28, 1-3 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 5, noon-2 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 11, 3-5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 19, 10 a.m.-noon
  • Sunday, Feb. 26, 2-4 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 3, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

To get a sense of how the girls prepare for cookie sales, read last year's Patch story from a training session at Belmont Hills Elementary School. And for more information about Girl Scouts and Girl Scout cookies, visit the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania website.

I hope people (continue to) support this worthwhile activity. Unlike in earlier years, G.S. cookies are now free of transfats. See nutritional info here: http://www.girlscouts.org/program/gs_cookies/cookie_faqs.asp#hydrogenated
