This week, Narberth-Bala Cynwyd Patch reviewed Mel’s International Tuesday on how kid-friendly it is. A white tablecloth establishment with an unofficial kids menu, this place is probably more suited for date night. Older well behaved kids could be fine here. Click here for the review.

Yes there is a kids menu with pasta, pizza and chicken fingers but never forget that there is also a full bar which attracts a big college crowd. I would opt to dine upstairs during earlier dinner hours if I were with children. Click here for the review.

 

Mom’s Bake at Home Pizza: 219 East Willow Grove Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19118

Kids will be so thrilled to add their own toppings and customize the pizza to their exact specifications. For celiacs, there is even a gluten-free pizza that actually has a rising crust.  Also noteworthy is that the wings are roasted and not fried. Click here for the review.

 

Vito’s Hoagies: 31 South Eagle Road Havertown, PA 19083

Hoagies are just the tip of the iceberg at this Italian deli. Kids will enjoy the turkey, chicken salad or tuna sandwiches and of course, the homemade desserts.

An honest to goodness scratch bakery that has been family owned and operated for 50 years Weinrich’s has something for kids, babies and adults. Take advantage of the fixed price per pound for the loose cookies so that you can mix and match your favorites. This bakery is also completely peanut free and always has been. Chef Ken’s Café: 7135 Germantown Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19119

Moms need not worry about preservatives here as Chef Ken makes the food fresh everyday using no animal fats and mostly olive oil. Take advantage of the Kennie meals although when the regular meals are on special it makes more economic sense to get the regular meal and split it between your kids. Click here for the review.

 

Machismo Burrito Bar: 4330 Main Street Philadelphia, PA 19127

Fresh, high quality ingredients are just what the doctor ordered. Bring in your kids and enjoy any combination of meats, vegetables, cheeses and wraps. When in doubt, most kids will love the tortilla chips or cheese quesadillas. Click here for the review.

 

A Taste of Britain with Easy Elegance: 503 West Lancaster Avenue Suite 420 Wayne, PA 19087
