Narberth Oktoberfest Around the Corner
The Narberth Business Association says they expect a larger-than-usual attendance this year.
It's almost that time of the year again -- plans for Narberth's fourth annual Oktoberfest are in full swing.
Narberth Business Association (NBA) spokesman Ed Ridgway said at this year's Oct. 6 event he expects nearly double last year's crowd of 200.
"We think [more people will attend] based on a response from last year," he said. "I think it really helps that the event supports a couple of popular things in Narberth."
The proceeds for Oktoberfest will benefit the Narberth Fire Company and the Narberth Dickens Festival.
Similar to last year, Oktoberfest will feature a pig roast, local beers, pretzels, brautwurst, saurkraut and live music by The Lucky Stiffs.
Ridgway also added that there will be babysitting available courtesy of the Harriton High School girls crew team at Borough Hall.
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased on the NBA's website or at Sweet Mabel, Society Hill Abstract or Maido.
