Narberth Theatre Group Leaving Borough Stage Behind

Narberth Community Theatre will no longer perform at the United Methodist Church of Narberth, the theatre board announced Monday.

Narberth Community Theatre will depart Narberth at year's end, the group announced Monday on its Facebook page.

After November's two-week run of "White Christmas", the theatre will leave the United Methodist Church of Narberth stage for Stage One, 12 miles away in Wallingford, Delaware County.

Stage One is where spring performances of Urinetown and And Then There Were None will be held, but the theatre group considers it a temporary home, according to the announcement:

We are hoping to keep Narberth Community Theatre in the greater Narberth area, but we need your help to make this happen! Join us for an open forum at NCT's current home at Price & Essex Street in Narberth on Tuesday, August 28 at 7:00 pm. We would like to gather suggestions and discuss ideas and strategies for the next chapter in NCT history.

The theatre group has been performing in Narberth since "PTA Follies" was staged in 1959.

Fans of the troupe with ideas about its future are being asked to email NCTRelocation@gmail.com.
