Wednesday Update: Narberth Reopening Bridge Walkway
The borough manager met with engineers Monday.
UPDATE 9:45 a.m. Wednesday: Narberth's government has gotten PennDOT's approval to reopen the pedestrian walkway over the Narberth Avenue bridge Wednesday morning, officials announced via email.
Tuesday morning, Narberth's government updated subscribers to its Narberth Flash email alert system on the status of the Narberth Avenue bridge, which closed by state order on Friday.
Among the new information:
- Pennoni Associates plan to close a fissure in the bridge with steel plates and brackets, whenever the steel becomes available.
- Vehicles can still take Narberth Avenue southbound to reach the borough parking lot at Maido!, though obviously there is still no through traffic allowed.
