Police Blotter: Minivan Stolen on Bryn Mawr Avenue

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

 

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in the Narberth-Bala Cynwyd area:

  • Theft of motor vehicle: A 2011 Honda Odyssey minivan was stolen from outside a home on the first block of Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bala Cynwyd between 9:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27 and 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28.
  • DUI: Henry Picott, 54, of the 7500 block of Woodbine Avenue in Philadelphia was arrested about 2:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29 at City and Belmont avenues. An open can of Miller High Life was found in his car, police said; his blood alcohol content measured 0.158.
  • Theft from building: An iPad valued at $800 was taken from a desk in an unlocked, empty office at 1 Bala Plaza between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26.
