Report: Bala Cynwyd Skydiver Dies
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the victim did not try to open his parachute in the South Jersey tragedy.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday that Donald Morozin, 62, of Bala Cynwyd died Nov. 21 in a skydiving accident in South Jersey.
The Inquirer cited the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office in reporting that Morozin had not pulled either of the cords that would have deployed his parachutes and that an FAA inspection determined Morozin's equipment was packed properly.
Morozin was jumping at Cross Keys Airport in Monroe Township, the Inquirer reported.
A discussion thread at the public Facebook page "United Parachute Club - Home of The Herd" mourned Morozin, with friends calling him "one of the nicest people ever", "a guy with real integrity" and "a good man, a mentor and friend".
