Robbery at Sovereign Bank in GSB Building; Surveillance Photo Released

Lower Merion police say this picture shows a man robbing the Bala Cynwyd Sovereign Bank about 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013.

The Sovereign Bank branch in the GSB Building at City and Belmont Avenues in Bala Cynwyd was robbed about 10:45 a.m. Thursday by a man whose face is seen clearly on surveillance footage, according to Lower Merion police.

The man handed a teller a demand note upon entering the bank, police said. The teller complied and handed cash to the man, who immediately fled. No one was hurt.

Anyone who recognizes the man pictured in the surveillance photo attached to this article is asked to call the Lower Merion Police at 610-649-1000.
