Sunday Burglary in Penn Valley Costs Homeowner $17K in Silver

An unlocked second-floor rear window was the entry point, police said.

Roughly $17,500 worth of silver valuables were stolen Sunday afternoon from a Penn Valley home, Lower Merion police reported Monday.

Someone had pushed a cooler under an unlocked rear second-floor window to enter the house on the 1200 block of North Woodbine Avenue, police said.

The burglar or burglars took an antique 24-piece place setting worth about $10,000, as well as silver bracelets, necklaces and rings, before exiting through the rear door.

The burglary took place while no one was home, between 2 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglary can call township police at 610-649-1000.

Check the slimy cash-for-gold place. Not a coincidence that the burglary rate is up since that fine establishments bed in to LM
