The (Short) Week Ahead: 5 Things to Know
A heads up for those who live or work in Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley.
- Tuesday should be warmer and wet. The forecast high is 50, with a 90 percent chance of rain, per the National Weather Service. (The rest of the week looks slightly colder but uneventful.)
- Friday is the deadline for certain Bala Cynwyd Middle School eighth-graders to decide whether to attend Harriton or Lower Merion High School.
- Saturday at LMHS will be the a cappella club's second annual winter workshop and invitational concert.
- PennDOT is again closing the right shoulders of the Schuylkill Expressway in both directions between Conshohocken and City Avenue. The sweeping work was scheduled for all last week and will resume Wednesday and Thursday, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- A workshop on the City Avenue rezoning map is set for 10 a.m. Saturday on the top floor of the GSB building, at City and Belmont avenues. An ordinance has already passed to reshape the commerical corridor, but amendments are possible before it takes effect this spring.
Correction: A previous version of this article misstated the day of the week for the City Avenue workshop.
