The Week Ahead: 5 Things to Know

A heads up for those who live or work in Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley.

  1. Pennsylvania's primary election is Tuesday, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. statewide. Montgomery County's website has an application to help you find your polling place.
  2. Rezoning for the City Avenue corridor goes to a final public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, before final adoption of changes that could clear the way for, among other changes, taller buildings.
  3. Schuylkill Expressway traffic could be a drag Wednesday and Thursday as bridge cleaning is scheduled to keep the left lanes closed in both directions between King of Prussia and the Belmont Avenue exit, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. (Check a map of area traffic anytime at balacynwyd.patch.com/commute.)
  4. A bicentennial gala Saturday will commemorate 200 years of the Lower Merion Academy building and raise money for renovation of the Cynwyd rail station.
  5. Main Line Restaurant Week runs from this Monday to Sunday, with many area menus offering specials and fixed-price meals. Among the restaurants participating are Bala Cynwyd's Pescatore BYOB and Saffron Indian Kitchen.
