Weekend activities seem to be unusually available and varied this week for the people of Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley.
- Sports fans may want to see the Lower Merion Aces open play in the boys' basketball state playoff tournament; they face Dover at 3 p.m. Saturday in Spring-Ford.
- Both middle schools are putting on musicals Thursday through Saturday: Beauty and the Beast at Welsh Valley, Wizard of Oz at Bala Cynwyd.
- West Laurel Hill Cemetery is holding a memorial service and burialfor Irish railroad workers who died at "Duffy's Cut" in Wayne in 1832.
- The Narberth Community Library is raising money Friday evening through a beer-tasting event called LiBrewery!
- Harriton High School stages the 10-contestant Mr. Harriton competition at 7 p.m. Friday.
- Kids are welcome at Saturday's Leprechaun Hunt scavenger hunt in downtown Narberth.
