1. Pumpkin Days at Tyler Arboretum

• When: Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Where: Tyler Arboretum, 515 Painter Rd, Media
• Why Go: Pick a pumpkin, create a scarecrow, jump in the moon bounce, make crafts, play games and enjoy a hayride. All parking is at the Penn State Brandywine Campus and a free shuttle will transport you to the Arboretum. 
• Cost: Members-$4, Non-members-$10 for adults

2. Colonial Harvest Day and Marple Christian Church Craft Sale

• When: Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  
• Where: The 1696 Thomas Massey House, Lawrence Rd & Springhouse Rd, Broomall
• Why Go: Experience early american craft demonstrations at the historic 1696 Thomas Massey house.  The culture, customs and daily work of colonial life will be brought to life by period re-enactors. Stroll the lawn of the Marple Christian Church craft sale, located next to the historic site.  Over 20 vendors will provide a variety of arts and crafts for sale.

3. 12th Annual Giant Neighborhood Yard Sale

• When: Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Where: High Point Cafe, 7210 Cresheim Rd, Mt. Airy, Philadelphia
• Why Go: Neighbors are selling an array of items including children’s clothes and toys, books, house wares, clothing and much more.  But that's not all that is planned for the day.  Philadelphia Cowshare will be on hand taking orders for their local, hormone free, grass fed beef shares of 1/8 share to a whole cow and local farm stand from Heritage Farm will have the grand finale of their weekly farm stand. There will also be  live music all day, a magic show, and High Point will be offering $5 crepes all day long.

4. Harvest on Henry

• When: Saturday, Oct. 20 1 - 4 p.m.
  
• Where: W.B. Saul High School of Agricultural Sciences, 7100 Henry Ave, Roxborough, Philadelphia
• Why Go: CSA, in conjunction with Weavers Way Co-op and Saul Agricultural High School, will be hosting their second annual Harvest Festival.  It will take place on the farm across the street from the high school in Roxborough.  The gala will feature a broad variety of events and merchandise, including child-centered activities such as: hayrides, veggie car racing, face and pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling, a cider-pressing demonstration, and even a petting zoo.  There will also be live music, garden workshops, a pie-baking contest, and fare for the hungry and thirsty: produce from the farm, goodies from food trucks, and a repeat of last year's not-to-be-missed cider doughnuts.  Come and support Philly agriculture.

5. Main Line Private & Independent School Expo

• When: Sunday, Oct. 21 from 1 - 4 p.m.
  
• Where: Radnor Valley Country Club
  
• Why Go: Come out and meet school admissions professionals, current students and parents from the leading private and independent schools from the area.  Learn how to find the right program for your child, explore different types of schools, philosophies and programs available.  Find out about the admissions process, and determine what budget you should be looking at and receive information about scholarships and tax credits.
• Cost:  $5 donation or children's book donation at the door.
