Patch wants to hear from residents of Narberth, Bala Cynwyd and beyond: What should fill the retail vacancies of your neighborhood streets?

Today, we're spotlighting 158 Montgomery Ave. in Bala Cynwyd, the former home of Salon Rita's.

The space is next to the Julie's Bottega clothing store. It is about 950 square feet, according to property records, and a sign in the window asks prospective tenants to call 917-740-5325. Attached apartments are up for lease separately.

So tell us in the comments section below: What kind of business would you be most likely to frequent if it moved in? And what other vacancies in town do you have ideas about filling?

A great shoe store would compliment the women's retail stores on the block.

How about a Lower Merion Police substation/command center for the local bike patrol. In know I would feel safer with a Visible presence right in the heart of the retail district also function as a Meter and parking enforcment . I have seen small structures in parts of fairmount park in phila work very well..Our community has seen a significant rise in crimes along the montgomery avenue coridor. Something to think about >
