Pitch for Bridge-Trail Funding Leads Wednesday's BOC Agenda

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the township building.

Four committees of the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners are meeting Wednesday evening at , 75 E. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore.

First up, at 6 p.m., is the Police Committee, scheduled to discuss revamping an intersection at the  in Bryn Mawr and hear a monthly report from Police Superintendent Michael J. McGrath.

After that is the Parks and Recreation Committee, nominally scheduled for 6:15 p.m. but almost certainly starting later than that. Leading that agenda is a proposal to apply for a $500,000 state grant (which the township would have to match) to connect the to trails on the Philadelphia side of the Schuylkill River, .

The Telecommunications Committee (at "6:30 p.m.") may have the shortest agenda of the night, including two resident appointments to the Cable Television Advisory Committee.

In the last scheduled committee session of the evening, the Public Works Committee will hear a report on stormwater drainage issues.

Neighbors Main Line reported commissioners will also discuss details of Township Manager Doug Cleland's proposed contract, though no vote is scheduled until the next meeting, Wednesday, March 14.
