Patch wants to hear from residents of Narberth, Bala Cynwyd and beyond: What should fill the retail vacancies of your neighborhood streets?
Today, we're spotlighting the former home of Aperto BYOB, at 232 Woodbine Ave. in Narberth.
The restaurant recently closed after a little more than a year in business. It had been preceded by Gemelli, another BYOB.
It's about 1,250 square feet, according to property records.
So tell us in the comments section below: What kind of business (and if restaurant, specifically what kind) would you be most likely to frequent if it moved in? And what other vacancies in town do you have ideas about filling?

A sandwich shop, with takeout available would be great!

I would love to have a restaurant that caters to locals more, like more casual food such as tacos. There's nowhere to get good tacos around here.

Yes please. Either of these. With an edge to tacos.

This is just a challenging location for a restaurant. I agree Narberth could use a could use a good healthy casual lunch place. Like SweetGreen or Milkboy. But there isn't much of a lunch crowd except on weekends. Perhaps a coffee shop/cafe will be able to make it work.

The issue in this spot, especially with regard to restaurants, is NOT the location. This has been a profitable location for just about every restaurant that has been located here - the issue is the owners of the building/"silent partners" of every restaurant that has been located here, the Wakims. They nickel and dime every restaurant owner that has been in this space and make it extremely difficult to run a successful business.
