Work Uniform Betrays Thief at 7-Eleven, Police Say
Surveillance footage from Sunday's incident at the Bala Cynwyd store traced the suspect to his Merion Station job, according to Lower Merion police.
A man charged with retail theft from the City Avenue 7-Eleven on Sunday was wearing his work uniform at the time, Lower Merion police said Monday.
The employee of Hymie's Deli in Merion Station was arrested after, police said, he took from the checkout counter a wallet that another customer had accidentally left behind.
Surveillance footage showed the man was wearing his Hymie's uniform; he was arrested at the deli shortly thereafter, police said. Charges against him include theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
