Family-Run Frozen Yogurt Shop Coming To Bala Cynwyd

Yosl's Frozen Yogurt will open in Bala Cynwyd this spring.

A family-owned frozen yogurt shop will be moving into the former Verizon store in Bala Cynwyd as soon as April.

Yosl's Frozen Yogurt, at 137 Montgomery Ave. in Bala Cynwyd, will have 12 flavors of frozen yogurt and more than 50 toppings.

"My wife grew up in Penn Valley and we have a lot of family that live in Bala Cynwyd ... we wanted to open the store in Bala and on Montgomery Ave," owner Mark Rubenstein explained in an email.

Yosl's will be a family-run business—and its family focus starts with the name: the yogurt shop is named after Rubenstein's father, who passed away three years ago. Rubenstein, his wife Lori, sons Blake and Eric, daughter Tara and husband Jeremy, along with two grandsons—Dylan and Kayden—are all helping, in one way or another, with the shop.

Renovations are underway at the Montgomery Avenue storefront, and an opening in April is expected.
