Narberth's first Friday has a special twist every June. Dog lovers from miles around dress up the family pooch in costume and parade them through the streets for fun and prizes. Local celebrity judges award prizes to owners in a variety of costume categories, from funniest to fanciest.
There's no need to pre-register this year, and registration is free. We are asking for donations to ARF SEPA, the local animal rescue foundation, but that's completely voluntary. Just arrive and sign in by 6pm at the corner of Forrest Ave and Haverford Ave. The parade will start at 6:30.
There will be food, music, prizes for costumes, a pet photographer, and pet vendors with free samples. Donations at the event will go to ARF SEPA.
Dogs may be entered in up to three categories:
1. Most Narberthian
2. Best Movie Character
3. Best Handmade Costume
4. Sportiest
5. Funniest
6. Dog that looks most like it's owner
7. Most Original Costume
8. Best Performing Dog
9. Best Child & Dog Duo
10. Best Decorated Float or wagon
