This Weekend: Garden Concert, Improv

Check out these three things happening in the Greater Philadelphia area this weekend.

Pianist Barbara Browne plays Babar the Elephant

Where:, 4 E Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore
When: August 11, 11 a.m.

What: Composer, Francis Poulenc, composed music to the wonderful children's story of Babar the Elephant at the request of his niece who was tired of the "other stuff he played all the time". Story has it that his niece placed her copy of the book on his piano upside down and said "play this". Barbara Browne will be playing the piano and narrating this lovely suite again for a repeat performance.
