Music at the Bala Library

Here are some music events upcoming at the Bala Library

November 13 @ 2 p.m. MINAS  

Synonymous with Brazil and Brazilian culture in the

Philadelphia area for over 25 years, MINAS, is led by

the husband/wife team of Orlando Haddad and

Patricia King. For this interactive performance, the

Minas Duo will present originals from their 5 CD

releases as well as classic bossa nova and samba.

Be sure to bring your inner rhythm to the Library

for a fantastic percussion jam session!

February 12 @ 2 p.m.  Marja Kaisla and Gilya Hodes Piano Duets

Two multi-°©‐‑faceted and virtuosic pianists, Marja

Kaisla and Gilya Hodos, will combine forces to

present a performance of unusual and rarely

heard musical piano duets. Champions of music

by women composers, the Kaisla/Hodos duo will

highlight these *overlookedmusical gems.
