Carmine's Creole Cafe Opens: View The Menu

John Mims' cajun-style restaurant has returned to Woodbine Avenue in Narberth, after leaving in 2006.

Local chef John Mims has officially reopened Carmine's Creole Cafe, which left Narberth Borough in 2006.

The restaurant focuses on Creole and Cajun fare, and most entrees are between $18 and $25.

The menu, now posted on the restaurant's front door at 232 Woodbine Avenue, includes:

  • Crab Bisque, $7
  • Crispy Cornmeal Crusted Scallops with aged balsamic black currant reduction, $9.50
  • Cajun Seafood Pasta: Shrimp, crabmeat, crawfish simmered in a spicy cream sauce over pasta, $22
  • Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffee with steamed Jasmati rice, $23
  • Butter-Roasted Chilean Sea Bass and Crispy Coconut Shrimp, tossed with mango curry butter sauce over Jasmati rice, $27
  • Jambalaya with roasted chicken, Andouille sausage and shrimp, $18
  • Pan-roasted pork loin topped with mole sauce over mashed sweet potatoes, $15
  • Red-wine braised beef short ribs topped with red wine demi glace over fondu mashed potatoes, $18

Carmine's Creole Cafe is located at 232 Woodbine Ave. in Narberth, and can be reached at 610-660-0160. The restaurant seats about 44, and will not take reservations.

  • Monday through Thursday: 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
