Corner Bakery Announces Bala Cynwyd Opening
The restaurant sits between Lord & Taylor and Chili's on City Avenue.
After months of , the new Corner Bakery in Bala Cynwyd has scheduled its grand opening.
The 4,000-square-foot restaurant at 153 E. City Ave. will open for business at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, restaurant staff told Patch Friday. The store phone number is 610-664-0402.
Staff also distributed fliers to interested passersby, who kept coming by Friday afternoon, perhaps intrigued by the absence of the fleet of construction vehicles that has filled the parking lot so many days for this spring and past winter.

The first 100 customers on opening day get a Corner Bakery mug and a year of free coffee refills, the company announced.
The restaurant is still hiring.

An AT&T store will eventually take the space next to Corner Bakery, but the last of three spaces in the building is still available, according to Federal Realty's website. Federal is the leasing agent for the Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center.
Corner Bakery's nearest existing location is in Ardmore.
