Eighth Annual Curry Contest at Maido!

On Sunday November 27, from 1pm to 3pm, the region’s
award-winning Japanese grocery store will hold a contest to judge the area’s best Japanese-style curry.  Register in advance to enter your recipe into the contest, or simply show up to enjoy samples of each batch in the competition.

Every entry wins a prize from Maido!—from Narberth Movie
theater tickets to Cheese Shop gift baskets to local gift certificates.  The Grand Prize is a Hitachi electric skillet, worth over $180.

Also on that day, Maido will be launching some new
products from three Bucks County purveyors.  Ever since their appearance at last year’s Narberth Dickens Festival, locals have been asking for local honey from Buckingham Valley Honey, and artisan bacon from PorcSalt.  Both
will be available at Maido! as of this weekend, along with smoked salmon from Bucks County’s River and Glen.  PorcSalt will also be sampling a “curry with bacon” for the crowd on Sunday.
