Moms Eat Local: Al Dar Bistro

Find out how kid-friendly Al Dar Bistro in Bala Cynwyd is.

Moms know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Al Dar Bistro is a good place to eat with your children.

Is there a kids’ menu? There is a kid's pasta on the menu but it's the only "kid" designated item. They do also have chicken fingers, french fries, numerous salads and dips.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The pasta is probably the healthiest kid item but the hummus, eggplant dips, salads and soups are quite healthy as well.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert your server and they will be as accommodating as they can be.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? It depends on how filled the dining room is. When I went in a small cry would have been noticed as there were very few tables of diners, on a busy day a small cry would go unnoticed.
