New Westminster Mausoleum Up for Vote Monday at Planning Commission

A preliminary land development plan for the Bala Cynwyd cemetery is on the agenda.

Westminster Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd will on Monday night seek the Lower Merion Planning Commission's approval of a preliminary land development plan for its planned second mausoleum.

The 1,500-square-foot building would be virtually identical to another Westminster mausoleum nearby, Westminster officials have told the Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd.

The cemetery would also have an underground stormwater management system installed. Construction would take place at the back of the property, near where it slopes down to the Schuylkill Expressway.
