NoelSy Prepping For New Space, Fresh Start

The hair and beauty salon will be moving down the street soon.

After six years at its current location, 321 Mongtomery Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, NoelSy Art in Beauty salon will be moving down the street to a bigger and better location.

The beauty and hair salon will be moving to 292 Montgomery Avenue, the former location of Govberg Jewelers. The large part of the construction for the new location is already completed and NoelSy expects to move in by no later than April 1, said co-owner Michel Noel.

Why Move?

The reason for the move is mainly based on convenience and for a "fresh start."

"We've been here since 2007," said Noel about the salon's current location. "We're a little more secluded over here. We wanted some more brightness and freshness."

According to Noel, clients at NoelSy's current location have to climb up stairs to get to the salon and parking is often hard to find. Noel said the new location will address the parking concerns by offering more spaces.

Benefits of New Location

The new space, which is located on the corner of Levering Mill Road and Montgomery Avenue, will be in a prime spot with other stores nearby that will help their business.

"We're so excited to be near more businesses that are complementary to what we do," said Noel. According to Noel, the retail stores by the new site will help bring foot traffic to the salon.

In addition, the new site will be one large space, all on one level, that will help create a more "studio feel" and better support NoelSy's employees, whereas their current site is located on two levels.

Noel said they didn't want to move too far and liked the accessbility to Bala Cynwyd. "We're located right between Center City, 76, City Line and the suburbs. We didn't want to move away from this."
