Track First-Quarter Home Sales in Narberth, Lower Merion, County and State

Prudential Fox & Roach compared statistics to the previous three years.

First-quarter home sales trends in Narberth and Bala Cynwyd compare more favorably to county and state trends in the long term than the short term, according to statistics reported Tuesday by Prudential Fox & Roach.

The real-estate firm reported 22 homes sold in Narberth and Bala Cynwyd in January through March, the same amount as last year's first quarter. Meanwhile, home sales rose 12 percent throughout Lower Merion (106 to 119), 17 percent throughout Montgomery County (1,212 to 1,418) and 12 percent throughout Pennsylvania (5,885 to 6,577), the firm reported.

Since 2009, however, first-quarter Narberth and Bala Cynwyd home sales have risen 100 percent, from 11 to 22. In that period, township sales have gone up 45 percent, county sales 21 percent and state sales 15 percent.
