New York Author Letty Cottin Pogrebin Led Seminar at West Laurel Hill

This week, West Laurel Hill welcomed New York based author Letty Cottin Pogrebin for the Fall Seminar.  Ms. Pogrebin, a celebrated writer, author, and one of the founders of Ms. Magazine, led a talk based on her new book, “How To Be A Friend To A Friend Who’s Sick.”  Through a collection of real life stories from fellow patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, others who have gone through serious illnesses, and her own personal experiences with breast cancer, her talk discussed how to best support the people in your lives who are going through their own health issues.   Joining Ms. Pogrebin during the talk was Bonnie Koletas, RN, the Marketing Liason for VNA Hospice.  Koletas provided some information on hospice care and treatment of family and friends in hospice.
