The next week presents plenty of opportunities for family-friendly activities. Here are five of them.

We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

Here's an array of events that are good bets for the family this week:

Where/when: 49 Bala Ave, Bala Cynwyd, weekly on Tuesdays, 7-8 p.m.
Why go: Exercise for ages 12 and up
Pricing: Township residents $130, non-residents $150

2. Groundhog Festival! A Knee High Naturalists Event
Where/when: Rolling Hill Park, 1301 Rose Glen Road, Gladwyne, Friday, Feb. 18, 1:30 p.m.
Why go: Ages 3-6, games, crafts, scavenger hunts, and outdoor fun. Play games like “toss the groundhog” to send the famous Phil back into his home for the rest of winter, learn about animal adaptations for winter, and make a weather-predicting groundhog to take home.
Pricing: $12/child, adult free, includes materials

3. Movie Night: The Sound of Music
Where/when: Narberth Borough Hall, 7:00pm Fri, Feb 18
Why go: Watch a classic in cinema and musical history.
Pricing: free

4. Kangaroo U weekday special
Where/when: Weekdays 10:30-5, 19 East Eagle Road, Havertown
Why go: Play two hours of arcade games and other activities for half off regular price.
Pricing: $5

5. Milk and Cookies Show
Where/when: 2 East Lancaster Avenue , Ardmore, Sundays at 10 am
Why go: MilkBoy Coffee in Ardmore presents The Milk & Cookies Show, a variety hour featuring music and fun with host Miss Scherling, a music educator and singer/songwriter.
