No major events are expected to roil Bala Cynwyd-area traffic today.

Tuesday is light on activities in the Bala Cynwyd area.

The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd, the local civic association, plans to meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Lower Merion Academy building. Also, Penn Valley Elementary School musicians have concerts scheduled for 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

  • The National Weather Service calls for a clear day, with a daytime high in the upper 40s and nighttime low in the upper 20s.

  • PennDOT crews will be doing overhead bridge work overnight all week, on the eastbound Schuylkill Expressway at Interstate 476. There could be occasional 15-minute traffic stoppages between midnight and 5 a.m.
  • Pencoyd Road in Belmont Hills may close intermittently this week and next because of water-main repair, according to the Lower Merion Department of Public Works.

  • Both Lower Merion and Narberth are picking up trash and recycling on a normal schedule today.
