On Tuesday, Spring Feels Like Summer

The normal high in late April is in the mid-60s.

The usual high temperature for a late April day is in the mid- to upper 60s. That's what tonight's low is supposed to be.

Today's high, according to the National Weather Service forecast, will be about 84 degrees.

South wind should be in the 10-15 mph range, and there is a slight chance of overnight thunderstorms late tonight.

It's a busy day in local prep sports as Lower Merion High School and Harriton High School both have baseball, softball, boys' tennis, girls' lacrosse and boys' and girls' track in action. Harriton's boys' lacrosse team is playing today, too.

  • Two women were on charges of public intoxication at the Bala Cynwyd Olive Garden Sunday night—one with a blood-alcohol content of 0.38 and one high on crack cocaine, police said Monday.
  • A judge on Thursday  of Arie Oren, the Penn Valley man accused of indecent contact at his Conshohocken weight-loss clinic.

The roads

  • Road crews are doing construction on Rock Hill Road, according to PennDOT. There will be lane restrictions at both ends of the road—at Conshohocken State Road and at Belmont Avenue—from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day this week.
  • PennDOT is sweeping the eastbound Schuylkill Expressway between Conshohocken and City Avenue from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day this week.
  • If you see a pothole that needs to be fixed, call the township's pothole hotline at 610-645-4782.
