Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued Thursday Night in Montgomery County

Winds up to 60 mph are in the NWS forecast.

About 8 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning through 9 p.m. for southeastern Montgomery County and surrounding areas.

The alert called for winds up to 60 mph and hail as big as quarters.

The storm was due in Narberth about 8:05 p.m. and moving about 15 mph, according to the alert. Anyone outside was warned to move indoors.

A Flash Flood Watch also accompanied the storm, effective through Friday night. The storm could produce up to two to four inches of rain, the NWS reported.
