Township Seeks Public Input on Two Local Parks

What do you think of Shortridge Memorial Park and Merion Botanical Park?

Lower Merion Township is seeking residents' opinions of Shortridge Memorial Park and Merion Botanical Park. If you live near and/or an avid park goer, the township wants to hear from you. The township has sent out surveys to residents on both parks and will be holding a series of public workshops.

for from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at St. Katherine Day School (930 Bowman Ave, Wynnewood). The next workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 30, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Merion Tribute House (625 Hazelhurst Ave. Merion Station).

The meetings "will provide citizens with an opportunity to learn about the master planning process and to participate," said Lindsay Taylor, Lower Merion's director of Parks and Recreation, in a press release. "We are actively seeking public input and hope that all who are interested will attend."

Residents who live within a quarter-mile of each park will also be sent surveys. Instructions for completion of the surveys will be included with a deadline of April 30th to be sent back to the township, according to the Parks and Recreation department.
