Trees Block Roads in Lower Merion
The affected stretch of Wynnewood Road is where the Ardmore and Wynnewood sections meet, just west of Narberth.
The wreckage of a wind-blown tree or trees closed Wynnewood Road between Knox and Ballytore Road Sunday morning and afternoon.
The affected part of Wynnewood Road makes up part of the boundary between Ardmore and Wynnewood, just west of where it passes through the borough of Narberth.
Several other roads were closed for fallen trees throughout Lower Merion at various times Sunday, police said, including Airdale Road between Old Gulph Road and Montgomery Avenue, Spring Mill Road (also between Old Gulph and Montgomery) and Mill Creek Road near Crosby Brown Road in Gladwyne and Penn Valley.

The Public Works Department could not be reached by telephone Sunday. Anyone encountering a fallen tree or other obstacle in the road can call the Lower Merion police non-emergency line at 610-649-1000.
